I didn’t count the smiles Or the number of times Zens infectious cuteness invited in kindness from strangers.

I think I remember the food being better, the time we came together.

I wonder if what I thought was two people stumbling into each other is an attraction from the depths of our being, the very center of who we are, and all that sometimes seems to stretch us at our seams is the shedding of all the calloused skin that shields our most tender places.

You melt me.

This free-fall into love, into us, has me bare.

You summon me into my awareness, unearthing who I am.

And as the shaky pieces of me fall, you become the wind that carries them safely away.
